To be conscientious is to know oneself, to be self-realized is to be able to reach a higher level of self-understanding. In this course, we use “YOGA” knowledge in achieving self-realization. By understanding yourself better you can achieve breakthroughs such as breaking bad habits and breaking out of a circle of unhappiness, i.e. constantly triggering your partner, being overly judgmental, harming your loved ones, meeting the wrong partner, and or failing in jobs. Without this realization, you will keep on bringing your traumas from one relationship to the next or constantly failing through your blindside.

Simply put, self-realization will empower you to make better decisions in life for yourself from your career to your relationships, and ultimately cultivate better relationships with those you love and work with.

The course includes 35 hours and we aim to focus on self-realization through yoga knowledge. Yoga means the “union of the mind.” The practice was cultivated to unleash the power of the mind with simple practices and knowledge in accessing a higher self. Dharma is commonly translated as “righteousness”, “merit” or “religious and moral duties” governing individual conduct. With the two combined, we aim to achieve a Union or an Organised Mind in achieving a righteous path just for you and you only. It also includes 50 hours of self-practice cultivating self-discipline allowing you to reach deeper states within yourself and truly hear the inner child speak.

Self Realisation Dharma Knowledge is deeply rooted in Yoga’s Eight-limbs of Yama Niyama translated into a modern adaptation. It is the perfection and result of the practices you are instilling into your life and finally becoming conscious of your existence and using the knowledge in your day-to-day life to help you through difficult situations with relationships, work, and family. Simply put, self-realization will empower you to make better decisions in life for yourself and ultimately cultivate a better self. If you can organize your mind you can achieve anything. The knowledge you gain from this course, becomes wisdom, from the wisdom you gain, aims to prevent you from suffering the same mistakes again. It’s time to invest in your mental health.

This is a course of knowledge, it’s not therapy.

Self-Realisation

Description:

This course explores the principles and practices of self-realization in relationship dynamics with self and personal development. Students will delve into the psychological, emotional, and relational aspects of the self and truly understand who you are. Focusing on healing and growth for individuals and couples.

Objectives:

  • Understand the fundamental concepts of the relationship with the self. Through meditation and yoga, you learn to control the self through self-reflection, and inner peace, and truly listen to the subconscious voices within you and answer the truth within. There’s no judgment,  only truth. Until the mind and heart align it will always be a torment and fight between mind and body.
  • Analyze the emotional impact of the self and how it affects yourself and your partners. Understanding your triggers and effectively communicating with yourself is the first step before communicating with your partner. This understanding is not rationalized by the mind but rather, from the subconscious of the heart.
  • What is your religion? Do you spend time reflecting? Even if you don’t have one, would you offend one? It’s important to have a belief system outside of just trying to rationalize everything, to understand that we are small and there’s a much greater force out there.
  • The power of manifestation. You can be and achieve anything you want in this world so long as you organize your mind. But the mind and heart need to be in sync to truly manifest it. Understanding the pressure points that drive you to make mistakes and commit sins is key. We can all pretend to be the perfect partner but unless there’s balance, the steam from this pressure cooker will blow up especially through alcohol and drugs (as some see as release). Cultivating a life that will give you balance is key.
  • Explore the practices addressing your blockages and promote healing. Blockages need to be recognized and dealt with one by one, it’s a lifelong process.
  • Death is inevitable and there’s no timeline for it.  You have to decide what is important to you and make it count. Live with no regrets, what are the regrets?
  • Develop the power of love and compassion. It all begins with this, and your values, When this takes priority, you will stop hurting people and yourself.
  • Create a plan to execute this life. Design your life, who, what, when, where, why, and how you want your life to be will help you navigate and change you. How much time are you spending at work, with colleagues, and friends vs. alone, partner, and at home?
  • Better each day.

Course Outline:

Week 1: Introduction to Self-Realisation

  • Definition of Yama Niyama
  • Types of Issues, Out of sight out of mind, lies, control, manipulation
  • Types of Solutions, Ahimsa- nonviolence, treating people, and animals with love and compassion, Karma, prioritization, presentness, acts of love of what your partner needs
  • Through understanding me, I become better for you, and more about you. Before any action, how would someone who is my pillar feel if I hurt them
  • Explore the practices addressing your blockages and promote healing. Blockages need to be recognized and dealt with one by one, it’s a lifelong process.

Week 2: The Psychology of Self-Realisation

  • Understanding your traumas and pressure points that drive you to make mistakes and commit sins is key. We can all pretend to be the perfect partner but unless there’s balance, the steam from this pressure cooker will blow up especially through alcohol and drugs (as some see as release). Cultivating a life that will give you balance is key.
  • It is not necessarily that we have to change; rather, we have to live a life that is suitable to who we are.
  • The number one rule is that you don’t hurt yourself and you don’t hurt others.
  • Develop the power of love and compassion. It all begins with this, and your values, When this takes priority, you will stop hurting people and yourself.
  • The truth of you. Can you be monogamous? Is Marriage really for you?

Week 3: Healing from Infidelity

  • Stages of healing/ explore the practices addressing your blockages and promote healing. Blockages need to be recognized and dealt with one by one, it’s a lifelong process.  Healing is self-practice, practicing with your teacher, retreats, me time, reflection, or being single.
  • Techniques for fostering forgiveness and trust.
  • Do you need a break and for how long? Be honest rather than try to control everything.

Week 4: Manifesting your life

  • The Biggest lie we tell ourselves is that we have time. Death is inevitable and there’s no timeline for it. The sooner you understand what is important to you and begin to prioritize it, the more you will suffer and enjoy this journey more. Live with no regrets, what are the regrets?
  • Create a plan to execute this life. Design your life, who, what, when, where, why, and how you want your life to be will help you navigate and change you. How much time are you spending at work, with colleagues, and friends vs. alone, partner, and at home?
  • Choosing someone who has similar core values to you. Your mind vs your heart.
  • Better Each Day-Final project: Create a comprehensive action plan for healing and growth post-infidelity

Week 5: Communication and Conflict Resolution

  • Honesty over pleasing people. Once you’ve designed your life and you want to involve a partner, communicate to them clearly about who you are.
  • Don’t worry about making plans and marriage, a relationship is when both of you want to take a step forward together daily.
  • Involve them in designing your life.
  • Allowing room for mistakes. Building empathy and understanding between partners
  • Tools for conflict resolution and negotiation. An argument is when two minds are not in a union, but rather after, reflect, rationalize, change, and improve.

Week 6: Moving Forward: Personal and Relational Growth

  • Developing a vision for the future
  • Setting goals for personal and relational improvement, a monthly review to ensure we are on track
  • Integration of lessons learned into daily life
  • Recap of key concepts and skills learned
  • Sharing personal insights and growth experiences
  • Creating a personal action plan for continued growth
  • Reflective journaling on personal experiences and insights

Practices include:

Ahimsa Meditation by Gene is deeply rooted in the top Yama Niyama the Eight-limbed of yoga focuses. Ahimsa is non-violence and through setting this intention we aim to access the inner child by removing blockages through visualization to seek purification. Purification is removing blockages, blockages are traumas and triggers that inhibit you from becoming the person you aim to be. Often in life, the worst enemy we face is our ego. We can achieve anything we want so long as our mind is organized if we don’t learn how to organize our minds nothing can be achieved successfully and nor will we have mental health.

Dharma Yoga, which was created by Sri Dharma Mittra in 1975, focuses on the cultivation of love and compassion. He is one of the oldest living Yogis at age 84; many well-known Yogis, such as Jarred McCann, Dr Erin Rose Vaughan, and Talia Sutra have studied under him. Dharma is known for his Master Yoga Chart of 908 Postures which you see in most yoga studios, each asana illustrated with a photograph of Mittra performing the pose. Dharma Yoga is a modern interpretation of classical Eight-limbed or Hatha-Raja Yoga.

Yoga Nidra calms the autonomic nervous system and regulates processes of the body that take place without a conscious effort (heartbeat, breathing, digestion, and blood flow). This system also includes the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant. It can also help manage immune function, blood pressure, and cortisol levels and induce restful sleep. Yoga Nidra seemed to be more effective in reducing anxiety. The study also suggested that yoga nidra can be a useful tool in reducing both cognitive and physiological symptoms of anxiety.

Conscience sharing. To wrap up the practices and knowledge, we share our thoughts, make a promise, and set an intention for ourselves for this year. Whatever mistakes we made up to this point, it’s time to forgive ourselves and make peace with ourselves. The practice here is to forgive and move on and become better, more loving, and more compassionate for those we love. Through all the practices we did today, our heart chakra will be open and therefore we are ready to open up and love ourselves and those around us. The result is that we will become better versions of ourselves.

In summary, this workshop will allow you to understand yourself better, which will allow you to achieve breakthroughs such as breaking bad habits, breaking out of a circle of unhappiness, and allowing yourself to be ready for the new year ahead.

If you can organize your mind you can achieve anything. The knowledge you gain from this course, becomes wisdom, from the wisdom you gain, aims to prevent you from suffering the same mistakes again. It’s time to invest in your mental health.

Bali Retreat Self Realisation

May 16, 2024

Thank you for the arrangements. I’ve started a journey I’ve never thought I would have been through in the past years. I believe the starting point is that you’ve made me feel attached with dogs😉. This amazed me. I realized this is the energy and strength of coming out of comfort zone and getting ready for the changes.

I’m not good at sharing but it doesn’t mean I don’t think. I enjoyed the Dharma talks though I always forgot the names of the term🤪. I enjoy being pushed and extending the limit with your support during the practice. It makes me feel that I’m alive and growing stronger. Of course the concert, the sound healing session, the breathtaking session, the team mates, the foods and drinks, the wonderful duck dry rice 😋 , made my days at Bali wonderful!☀️

I would focus on the three things in the coming months and see how changes are going:

Get rid of the obsessions. Go through the process and enjoy it

I’m good enough. I deserve better.

Hold on the most difficult Yoga poses.

Time passes quickly. Time to realize dreams and fulfill myself.

It's more than yoga

April 18, 2023

It has been an incredible journey to learn, practice, retreat with Gene. At his class, not only I can find power, but also numerous touching moments. I start to look inward in the quest of my spirituality. The best experience of all would be the Bali retreat. All activities are well planned and it’;s really the lifestyle I want to live, surf & yoga. Gene shared in-depth and real-life yoga knowledge with us during the trip, which I continue to practice in my daily life. Thank you again for all the joy and peace you brought to my life!

An incredible teacher and mentor

October 16, 2022

Gene is one of the most compassionate individuals I’ve had the honor to meet and learn from. He leads with heart, integrity, joy, and truth. His teachings of yoga go beyond the mat and touch upon integral aspects of wellbeing including relationships, self-love, purpose, healing and presence. Attending his classes propelled not only my yoga practice but also my spiritual path. Gene’s teachings and mentorship have been a life raft for me as I navigated challenging experiences in my life. I can’t speak highly enough of him!
