Ms.Rachel (HK / Taipei)

In 2017, Rachel mustered her courage and determination to complete the 200-hour teacher training with Patrick Creelman and Rinat Perlman. It was during this experience when Rachel found her calling in life – to become a lifelong practitioner and student of yoga, and to spread her passion and knowledge of yoga to others.

Rachel’s overall teaching philosophy is for students to learn precise alignment and to feel the same benefits of yoga that she has. She would like her students to grow in their own practice and become as passionate about yoga as she is.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Rachel moved to Hong Kong in 2011. Her first experience with yoga was during university but found it boring and painful.

After a brief hiatus, she decided to give yoga another shot. This was triggered by suffering from lower back pain for long periods in her younger years of being an avid skier.

She began taking classes with Minnie Cheung, and it was her powerful practice and encouragement that inspired Rachel to embark on her journey of becoming a yoga teacher.

A perfect instructor for both beginners and advanced yogis

Rachel has a deep knowledge of yoga asanas, and she uses gentle approaches to micro-adjust your poses during her class. She knows how to get you into the best possible form your body is currently able to achieve without over pushing the limits. She also provides alternatives for different asanas to help you train and tone your body. I would say that Rachel is a perfect instructor whether you’ve just started your yoga journey or you’ve practiced yoga for a while.

Rachel explained why she was donating money to Rain Lily which is an NGO which combat violence forced on women. Her voice was soft yet assertive, gentle but powerful. So similar to her teaching. She offered assistance according to student’s own practice, being sensitive to the students’ individual needs.

With Rachel’s facilitation I advanced with asana and had great talk about how to make ourselves a happier person.

My best yoga experience ever

Rachel is an authentic and skilled teacher,and she connected with everyone in her class in a warm and harmony way. On that day, the weather was so good , sky was blue and right in front of the harbour providing an amazing view. Everything was great. After her lesson I felt so good and peaceful.It was my first time outdoor yoga experience and it was amazing. I sincerely appreciate Rachel for providing me with such a wonderful experience.

Through Bettermenyc, I got a chance to join Ms Rachel’s outdoor yoga class, with the beautiful surroundings in Tamar Park.

Ms Rachel was gentle and patient. She has showed me how I can improve on my asanas without giving me any pressure.

The experience has definitely exceeded my expectations.

First Yoga Experience

As a complete Yoga beginner I was both excited and nervous about trying out my first class. Rachel’s attentiveness and hands on instruction tailored to each individual student really put me at ease and allowed me to wholly enjoy my first experience. She has an uncanny ability to identify the strengths and needs of each individual student that allows her to make the class both challenging and rewarding regardless of your experience level in Yoga. Her passion for both the practice of Yoga and the instruction of it is unparalleled.
