I am excited to announce my next retreat “Yama – Beyond Asana” taking place in the beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia.

My time in Bali last year was quite transformative and propelled my journey of self-realization. This land and its energy are indescribable, and I want to share this with each of you. I will be hosting this retreat with Angel Phau who is a passionate advocate for holistic well-being, with a focus on nervous system health and emotional regulation. With over 15 years of experience as an authentic leadership mentor and rehabilitation fitness trainer, Angel has dedicated her career to empowering individuals to achieve optimal physical, mental, and emotional balance.

The goal of this retreat is to gain “Self Realisation” yogic knowledge, aligning you on the righteous path of cultivating the Self. No one’s journey is the same but through self-realization, you will be able to access your higher self and make better decisions in your life. When this knowledge becomes your wisdom, you will no longer have to suffer and learn the same lessons repeatedly.

The elements I want to bring to this retreat are the Sun, Sea, Breath, and Sound. The Sun is always warm and giving, the Sea is healing, the Breath is our life force, and the Sound is the wisdom within.

As you know, Yoga is a lifestyle to me, and I’m excited to create a space where we can learn to embody its true teachings in every moment. So, in this retreat, we will deepen our understanding of yoga knowledge, practice asana, meditate, journey deeper into ourselves with breathwork, heal, have fun, and build deep bonds with one another.

As we want to keep our group small, we only have a limited number of spots available.

TEACHERS

Gene was inspired by all the physical and mental Illnesses his colleagues had caused by stress in banking that he studied as a Dharma Yoga NYC Teacher about health and wellness. He focuses on inner work through self-realization knowledge, pranayama, breath work, and meditation visualization with his yoga asana practice to go into an active meditative state. His practice is slow, thoughtful yet powerful to cultivate inner peace. He specialises in teaching Self Realisation Course, Dharma Yoga ( a heart chakra opening practice) and Ahimsa Meditation ( Practice of Forgiveness/ Non-violence).

LEARN

Self Realisation knowledge- Yogic knowledge about the self. Truly understanding yourself will help you end your sufferings of committing the same mistake over and over again and function at a higher consciousness and vibrate at a higher level.

Ahimsa Meditation – A practice of non violence to the self and forgiveness to end the suffering and move forward in life. To finally allow yourself to become the person you are meant to be and rid your blockages.

Purification – At this moment the only thing that is holding us back from allowing us to become or meant to become the person we are meant to be are our blockages within. We will focus on removing each blockage at a time to clear all the unnecessary issues and thoughts within us.

Breathwork –  The Powerful Breathing Technique for Enhanced Vitality and Mental Clarity. Breathing is one of the most fundamental aspects of human life, and it plays a crucial role in our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We will be trying a wide range from 9D to Clarity Breathwork.

Sound Healing – Experience and learn about the benefits of sound healing in an immersive surrounding dedicated to the best sound healing one can experience.

Innerpeace, the only thing we’ve ever really wanted is to be in union in our mind. Through experiencing inner peace we are better and more peaceful within therefore emanating the same vibes to others.

Self-realization, To truly spend time learning and understanding the self. You’ll realize all the answers have always been within you but have you learned how to access the wisdom from within?  As humans we are filled with knowledge but how much of it are we using?  In this practice, we are going back to the basics of understanding oneself.

Healthier in mind, body, and soul- A wholesome wellness experience as we become healthier in not just our bodies but our minds and souls.  It’s time to relieve yourself of the baggies you are no longer serving you, it’s time to move your mind into a healthier state.  Understand the cultivation of the soul takes time but by cultivating more love and compassion, one will learn that it is the most important thing in humanity to be a better soul not just for you but for those you love around you.

A maximum of 8 people (space is very limited) 

To be conscientious is to know oneself, to be self-realized is to be able to reach a higher level of self-understanding. In this introductory course, we use “ Dharma and Yoga” knowledge to achieve self-realization. By understanding yourself better you can achieve breakthroughs such as breaking bad habits and breaking out of a circle of unhappiness, i.e. constantly triggering your partner, being overly judgmental, harming your loved ones, meeting the wrong partner, and or failing in jobs. Without this realization, you will keep on bringing your traumas from one relationship to the next or constantly failing through your blindside. This workshop is a start to the journey of Self Realisation which will include four components. Ahimsa Meditation, Dharma Yoga, Layered Monochord Sound Healing and Conscience Sharing.

Here are the elements:


Ahimsa Meditation founded by Gene is deeply rooted in the top Yama Niyama the Eight-limbed of yoga focuses. Ahimsa is non-violence and through setting this intention we aim to access the inner child by removing blockages through visualization to seek purification. Purification is removing blockages, blockages are traumas and triggers that inhibit you from becoming the person you aim to be. Often in life, the worst enemy we face is our own ego. We can achieve anything we want so long as our mind is organized if we don’t learn how to organize our minds nothing can be achieved successfully and nor will we have mental health.


Dharma Yoga, which was created by Sri Dharma Mittra in 1975, focuses on the cultivation of love and compassion. He is one of the oldest living Yogis at age 84; many well-known Yogis, such as Jarred McCann, Dr Erin Rose Vaughan, and Talia Sutra have studied under him. Dharma is known for his Master Yoga Chart of 908 Postures which you see in most yoga studios, each asana illustrated with a photograph of Mittra performing the pose. Dharma Yoga is a modern interpretation of classical Eight-limbed or Hatha-Raja Yoga.


Conscience sharing. To wrap up the practices and knowledge, we share our thoughts make a promise, and set an intention to ourselves for 2024. Whatever mistakes we made up to this point, it’s time to forgive ourselves and make peace with ourselves. The practice here is to forgive and move on and become better, more loving, and more compassionate for those we love. Through all the practices we did today, our heart chakra will be open and therefore we are ready to open up and love ourselves and those around us. The result is that we will become better versions of ourselves.
In summary, this workshop will allow you to understand yourself better, which will allow you to achieve breakthroughs such as breaking bad habits, breaking out of a circle of unhappiness, and allowing yourself to be ready for the new year ahead.
